Usui Reiki for Self Healing

Learn traditional Usui Reiki for self-healing.

Dr Usui developed the Reiki system in 1922 in order to provide a simple method for people to reconnect to their spirituality. Hands on healing is just one aspect of the methods offered, you will also learn the codes of practice, breathing and meditation techniques, symbols and mantras and receive a blessing or attunement to help you connect with the energy.

Reiki means universal life force energy, it is a system of healing and spiritual development, which works to heal any living thing at an energetic level to get to the root or cause of any disease, imbalance or disharmony.

Reiki helps you to:

  • Move into a state of balance.
  • Open you up to divine love and light
  • Bring healing, calm and rest to yourself
  • Develop a meditation and healing practise for wellbeing
  • Start to feel the energy flow around you and connect with your intuition.

In Reiki 1 training or ‘shoden’ you will learn:

  • The background and history of Reiki
  • The Reiki codes of practice
  • Reiki meditations and breathing techniques
  • The 5 elements and 6 principles
  • How to sense and work with ki/qi- energy
  • Self-healing methods
  • Receive the 4 Reiki 1 attunements

To get the most out of the attunement process it’s best to:

  • Eat healthily, avoid stimulants, alcohol and drugs
  • Meditate, take walks in nature and connect with your spiritual side
  • Start thinking about what you want to get out of the training – set your intentions

Please note: a period of cleansing and change may take place after the attunements, this is a bit like a detoxification and can last up to 21 days, so be gentle with yourself, take it easy. You will be provided with a training manual and certificate, but you will need to attend all 4 sessions in order the receive your certificate. This course is for self-healing only, so you will not be able to offer healing treatments to others as a practitioner at this level.

How much does it cost and how long is it?

It's run over four mornings from 10.30am - 1pm ish and costs £150
